This design is a tribute to the legendary MACV SOG warriors, the original shadow warriors of Special Forces. For the 2025 Stars & Stripes Classic, we honor this era with a modified version of the original MACV SOG patch, paying homage to the men who operated in some of the most dangerous and denied environments of the Vietnam War.
The centerpiece of the design is the iconic skull, adapted to include crossed lacrosse sticks, symbolizing the warrior spirit on and off the field. The bold war cry, "Victory at All Costs," a mindset that defined the ethos of SOG operators, continues to inspire today’s Green Berets and the game that brings them together.
