For generations, the double-edged dagger has marked the moment a soldier becomes a Green Beret—symbolizing strength, service, and sacrifice. The Green Beret Foundation, in partnership with Stroup Knives, continues this tradition by issuing a handcrafted blade to today’s warriors and offering a civilian-accessible version that helps fund support for all generations of Green Berets. Only verified Green Berets may purchase the issued dagger, while the Heritage Dagger is available to all who want to honor the legacy.
The Green Beret Dagger is exclusively issued to verified Green Berets. Please be prepared for the verification process: we accept a redacted ERB, ORB, Soldier Talent Profile, or DD214 reflecting Special Forces Qualification. Once your verification is complete, you will receive instructions on how to purchase the Green Beret Dagger.
The Heritage Dagger is a full-size, double-edged blade inspired by the iconic knife issued to Green Berets. Handcrafted in the USA and available to the public, it’s built for those who honor craftsmanship, legacy, and the warrior spirit. A portion of every purchase supports the Green Beret Foundation.
The Green Beret Dagger was created to revive the tradition of presenting a blade to every Green Beret upon graduation. Launched in 2025 by the Green Beret Foundation, in partnership with a dedicated group of Green Berets and the Special Operations veteran-owned business, Stroup Knives, the dagger symbolizes the heritage and brotherhood of the Regiment.
Only verified Green Berets are eligible to purchase the Green Beret Dagger. The verification process must be completed by the Green Beret themselves to ensure proper protocol and to accurately tie the Dagger to their service. This maintains the integrity and meaning behind the Dagger.
The Green Beret must complete the verification form on the Green Beret Foundation’s website and upload the required documentation. Once the submission is reviewed and approved, they will receive a unique link and password to complete their purchase. This information can then be shared with a loved one if the Dagger is intended as a gift.
The Green Beret must provide a redacted ERB, ORB, Soldier Talent Profile, or DD214 that clearly reflects Special Forces Qualification. Documentation must be submitted by the Green Beret being verified.
The Green Beret must complete the verification process themselves>. Once verified, they will receive a unique password and landing page for the competition of the purchase. They can choose to have the Dagger shipped to any address they prefer, including yours if it is being gifted.
If documentation is missing, insufficient, or unverifiable, the request may be denied. Applicants are welcome to reapply at any time with the correct and complete documentation.
The Green Beret Dagger is priced at $299.99 and is only available to verified Green Berets.
The Heritage Dagger is also priced at $299.99 and is available to the general public—no verification required.
Daggers are made to order. Please allow 30–45 days for production after your purchase. Shipping updates will be sent to the email address used at checkout.
